policy + disclaimer

The following policies and disclaimers are defined to (1) clarify what general agreements a client (customer) enters into when making any purchase, booking services, or publishing a work through intuit.hue, actions which are taken to signify that the client is aware of and consenting to all relevant terms defined below; (2) protect intuit.hue and its guides or contributors, as well as their time, ideas, other resources, and safety; (3) suggest possible courses of reparative action for when a client has violated the terms of these agreements:

Payment + Scheduling Policy

Readings and other sessions are typically scheduled 2 - 3 days ahead, except where the client requests for the service to be expedited (to either within 24 hours or 12 hours). All services must be paid ahead of time (or a waiver received and confirmed); no booking will be processed without payment or waiver. Discount codes and other promotions are to be applied at checkout.

A booking is scheduled once the client and guide confirm the day and time (in writing), and it is expected that both will keep this scheduled time. If a client misses a session, the session will still be considered completed, with the transaction closed. If a client is late for a scheduled session, there will not be an adjustment (not only out of consideration for the guide’s time, but also because the guide may have another booking directly after, impacting the next person’s session).

Where a guide is late, the client is not entitled to any rescheduling, refund, exchange, or other action, but fair reparative action will be taken; where a guide misses a session, the client is certainly assured a rescheduling or refund and reasonable reparative action will be made.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

If a mistake is made during checkout, please e-mail via amani@intuithue.com and we will work to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Refunds and exchanges are likely possible in situations where there was a sincere mistake, such as where a discount was applicable but not applied, a client intended to choose another shop item, or similar; in these instances, the standard course of action is for the amount of difference to be credited to future purchases, though a refund request is also possible (with any resulting transfer fees taken out of the amount).

Readings and other sessions must be cancelled within 24 hours of their booking (meaning: from the time intuit.hue receives the booking). If a client intends to reschedule a session, notification must be given 24 hours prior to the session, to allow the guide to plan accordingly. Out of respect for the time and effort our guides put into preparing and crafting their works, no refunds will be given for missed sessions or within 24 hours of a session; this also means that expedited services are not eligible for refunds.

Where the client has still given reasonable and considerate notification outside of these terms, an exchange or partial refund may be permitted; this is firmly up to the discretion of the guide and founder (Amani). For any given case, the intention will be to balance a respect for the guide’s time and energy with the client’s needs and invested resources.

EDITING/REDACTION Policy

Works which are created independently or mostly independently (such as short stories, blog posts/articles, videos, or other content) remain the author’s own work, meaning they may continue to edit, distribute, monetise, and otherwise rework the content freely in other channels.

However, all works published through intuit.hue which involve contributors outside of intuit.hue’s guides come under intuit.hue’s publishing domain/discretion once published (made publicly visible) as or within an intuit.hue work. No work will be initially published without the author’s knowing and consent, and the author may continue to request edits and have them fulfilled up until that point, but once published, no edits or redaction are assured - this is up to intuit.hue and the founder’s discretion - though they may be requested at any point. Edits in works which are printed, recorded, or otherwise created in a format which is difficult to edit collectively (such as a book which has already been printed and made widely available) are likely to not be approved; edits for more fluid works (such as an article) are likely to be integrated. For both types of works, complete redaction/removal of the work may be requested, but intuit.hue maintains the right to keep the work published, as aligned with the original agreement of publishing.

An author’s violation of the author-publisher agreement, freelance agreement, or other written agreement with intuit.hue means that intuit.hue is no longer bound to fulfill the terms of the given agreement (including financial or compensation terms), but retains all rights described within.

Service Disclaimer

While we take great pride and care in our interpersonal healing work, it is important to clarify that intuit.hue and our guides are not licensed by any psychological body for therapy, counseling, or any other professional psychological or social work services; guidance and healing sessions are not, and do not purport to be, a replacement for certified or licensed professional psychotherapy, social services, or medical physician.

The alternative healing work that intuit.hue aims to do is sharply distinct from, and complementary to, traditional and governmentally-recognised systems of medicine and the resources they provide.

Booking a session signifies that the client understands that this distinction exists and is not expecting to receive the same services as would be provided by a licensed psychological, social work, or physician body. If you are seriously concerned for your health or safety, or feel you need licensed, expert help with a mental, psychological, or physical condition you are experiencing, please seek an appropriate form of psychotherapy, social work, or medical assistance.

intuit.hue guides are informed not to provide direct medical advice and will not make any licensed, expert claims or diagnosis about an individual client’s health, diet, physical needs, psychological state, or other bodily conditions (pregnancy, serious injury, disease), nor do we claim any of our resources to be a cure for or assurance of such conditions.
